Waterhall Local Nature Reserve is a ex-golf course on the edge of the city now being rewilded to allow biodiversity to return. You can see more in this short film. Mike, the education ranger on the Wilding Water hall project, is able to support schools in their environmental work.
Winter 2025
Visits to schools over the winter months to deliver a short presentation or assembly covering;
- the formation of the South Downs (featuring dinosaurs and prehistoric plankton!)
- the unique ecology of chalk grassland (so special that we live in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve)
- the fantastic variety of birds, insects, mammals and reptiles which make their home in the South Downs
