Sussex Wildlife Trust are offering the following opportunities for schools to help pupils learn through nature.
- My Wild School Grounds – EYFS to KS2
Workshops in your school grounds to engage pupils with the natural world and encourage the development of a sense of excitement and curiosity. Activities will be hands on and based on the National Curriculum for Science. Full details here.
- Visits to the Deneway Nature Reserve
The Deneway Nature Reserve is an urban nature reserve in Westdene, with easy access from the number 5 and 27 bus. This private woodland offers an accessible path, a large log circle clearing and an accessible pond dipping platform alongside a newly installed compost toilet. Pupils can experience both curriculum based environmental workshops and practical habitat creation tasks. For more details contact [email protected].
