We have been working with Pesticide Action Network to develop a Pesticide Free School policy.
This is an important step for local schools to protect local biodiversity whilst ensuring children’s health is not affected by the use of chemical pesticides.
You can read the full policy here – PFT_Schools_Brighton_July2024, which includes practical advice on how to manage your grounds without pesticides, implementing the approach successfully through a phased approach.
The schools below have pledged to be Pesticide Free Schools. We’d love ALL B&H schools to also pledge the same.
You can watch Nick from Pesticide Action Network talking bout why and how your schools can become pesticide free here – any further questions, do get in touch with him on [email protected].
Here is PANs link to Pavement Plants which might be a useful resource for involving your pupils in this work.
